Earlier today (Monday, March 16th, 2020), Tennessee Governor Bill Lee issued a statement urging schools in Tennessee to remain closed through the end of March due to the ongoing concerns for COVID-19.
In response to Governor Lee’s statement, Cleveland City Schools and Bradley County Schools have issued a joint statement today informing the public that schools in both districts will remain closed through March 31st.
On Friday, a joint statement from the districts previously indicated schools would be closed through March 20th, and that the situation would be re-assessed at that time. However, schools will now be closed through March 31st.
