Bradley County Schools’ Bus Involved in Accident

Per Dr. Linda Cash, director of Bradley County Schools, a Bradley Central High School activity bus was involved in an accident this afternoon on Georgetown Road.

Reports indicate a car hit the back of the bus. All students on the bus at the time of the accident were assessed, and it was determined there were no injuries.

A secondary bus took students back to Bradley Central High School and parents were being notified of the situation.

The Principal, Safety Director, and the Transportation Supervisor were present at the scene of the accident.

BCSO Seeks Suspects in Auto Burglaries

James Edward Polk, wanted by BCSO.

On September 6th, the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division obtained Arrest Warrants for James Edward Polk related to numerous auto burglaries that occurred in Northeast Bradley County on September 5th. Mr. Polk is being sought on twenty felony counts of auto burglary and ten counts of theft.

Mr. Polk should be considered armed and dangerous given that at least four firearms were stolen in the crimes.
